One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ken Kesey's iconic story adapted for the stage, runs April 30 through May 3, 2026 at CNY Arts Center. Set in a psychiatric ward, the story follows the rebellious R.P. McMurphy, played by Michael Richard King, whose larger-than-life personality disrupts the rigid routine enforced by Nurse Ratched, played by Danie Merrill. Directed by Jane Schuessler, the production balances humor with psychological tension to explore individuality, authority, and the erosion of self.
