Gonzo Girl, directed by Patricia Arquette in her directorial debut, will be screened at Irvington Theater on June 13, the day after its Tribeca premiere. The film follows aspiring writer Alley Russo, played by Camila Morrone, as she becomes the assistant to the legendary and tumultuous journalist Walker Reade, portrayed by Willem Dafoe. Set in 1992 Aspen, the narrative delves into Alley’s struggles with the chaotic lifestyle of Reade while she attempts to help him complete his long-awaited novel. Following the screening, Arquette will join writer Cheryl della Pietra for a discussion about the film, which is inspired by della Pietra's experiences with the enigmatic Hunter S. Thompson.
