On June 18, 2022, join Bridge Street Belly Dance, now in its fifth year of celebrating the human experience through movement and fusion belly dance, and share their journey through adversity to find hope in creativity and connection. Dancers from The Bridge Street Belly Dance Project will assemble for a residency in Catskill, NY, beginning on June 13. A multi-day collaborative workshop will then culminate in two live shows. Participants in The Bridge Street Experience, in training with core members of the Project throughout the residency, will join the Project Dancers in performance onstage, all of them changed as artists and as people, ready to move forward into a new day. Live performances of NEW DAY: A Fusion Belly Dance Showcase will take place at the Bridge Street Theatre, located at 44 West Bridge Street in Catskill, on Saturday June 18th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. The performances will then be transformed into a series of short films by JD Urban to be shared online with audiences around the world.
