A beautifully framed Star Wars poster, autographed by the major stars of the first movie in the series, has just been added as one of the featured items. The poster joins the Springsteen autographed guitar & the Ali autographed boxing glove up for auction at Chenango River Theatre's annual Winter Gala to be held at the Silo Restaurant on Jan. 19, 6:00-9:30pm.
CRT's Winter Gala is open to the public, with reservations required (call 656-8778 for reservations - last year's event sold out, early reservations recommended). Featuring over one hundred items donated by area merchants, those attending the Gala find great bargains on fine artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia and gift certificates to area attractions and restaurants.
Among the vacation possibilities up for bid are: A week in a private apartment in the historic village of Lourmaine, France, in the Provence region; One week in a private home in Wrightsville Beach, NC, less than 5 minutes from the beach with numerous golf courses nearby; A week at the Endless Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania.Included in the evening are exquisite hors d'oeuvres, carving stations and a wealth of desserts as well as complimentary wine, beer & soda for the $65/person admission (which includes a tax-deductible gift).
