MusicalFare Theatre Presents the Regional Premiere of A CLASS ACT 11/2

By: Oct. 11, 2011

MusicalFare Theatre, Western New York's most awarded and only professional musical theatre company, presents the 2nd production of its 2011-2012 Season, the Regional Premiere of A CLASS ACT. Edward Kleban was the Tony-winning lyricist for the Broadway classic, A CHORUS LINE. Upon his death in 1978, a trunkful of songs from never-produced musicals was found by his friends and A CLASS ACT was born. Featuring songs in the classic-Broadway style and characters from his life including his A CHORUS LINE writing partner, Marvin Hamlisch and the show's creator, Buffalo's own Michael Bennett, A CLASS ACT tells the story of a remarkable man and the ups and downs of his life and career in the theatre.

The production stars Louis Colaiacovo, Bobby Cooke, Doug Crane, Mary Coppola Gjurich, Adrienne Lewis, Marc Sacco, Nancy Sam and Lisa Vitrano. Set Design is by Chris Schenk, Lighting & Sound Design is by Chris Cavanagh, and Costume Design is by Kari Drozd.

The performance schedule is November 2nd - December 11th, Wednesdays at 7:00pm, Thursdays at 7:00pm, Fridays at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 4:00pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. There will be a special "half-price preview" on Tuesday, November 1st at 7:00pm. Meet-the-cast talkbacks take place after all Wednesday performances EXCEPT opening night, November 2nd. THERE IS NO PERFORMANCE ON THANKSGIVING DAY (THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 24th).

The ticket price is $38 for all performances. Student and Group rates available.

Ticket reservations may be made by calling 716-839-8540 or online at www.musicalfare.com

All seating is assigned. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and checks are accepted.
