Hudson Stage Company has announced that its Spring's Mainstage production will be a revival of the Pulitzer Prize winning, romantic comedy TALLEY'S FOLLY by the late, great Lanford Wilson.

In the announcement, producers Denise Bessette, Dan Foster and Olivia Sklar commented: "We've been trying to get the rights for some time and gratefully now we have a chance to share this rare jewel." Foster, who most recently helmed the company's box office hit GOD OF CARNAGE, will direct.

The play is set on the 4th of July near the end of WWII at the Talley family's moonlit boathouse in rural Missouri. Sally Talley, the "spinster" daughter at 31 of this prominent local family, is being courted by an unlikely suitor in Matt Friedman, a Jewish accountant from St. Louis. Both are pitiful yet glorious human beings, clumsily finding their way toward each other in what may be their only chance for happiness.

When: Previews Friday, April 27th . Opens Sat. April 28th, runs three weekends through May 12th. Evening performances at 8:00 and Matinees at 3:00 PM.

The winter/spring season leads off with a staged reading on Friday, February 10th at 7:30 of the new play RAISING JO by Charlotte Miller, directed by one of the theatre's most highly respected directors and resident of Croton, Evan Yionoulis. Following the play reading will be the annual YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL, in collaboration with Briarcliff High School I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT MEMORIZED! Thursday, March 22nd at 7:30pm. An evening of one-acts written, directed and performed by Briarcliff students. "This is a real treat for us to witness each year the incredible work that comes out of these talented students, under the mentorship of their teachers. We'd like to see the program expand to other Westchester area high schools that are interested and invite them to attend and see what's possible", co-producer Denise Bessette.
