Summer Sampler

Oil Lamp Theater's SPARK CENTER for the Performing Arts sits at 1009 Waukegan Road in downtown Glenview, Illinois, across the street from the theater. The 2,750-square-foot facility holds two studios plus offices and serves both as Oil Lamp's rehearsal home and as the base for its arts education program. Youth classes are process-based, encouraging young people to become theater-makers by creating new characters and stories in each class, and the theater also delivers programming at schools, libraries and park district centers around Chicagoland. Youth day camps are offered in winter, spring and summer along with School's Out drop-in camps. Adult classes and a young adult matinee series for high school groups round out the offerings, and scholarships are available by application.
