Summer Drama Camp

Summer Drama Camp has provided musical theatre, film, acting, production and career coaching to children and adults in the Orlando area since 1996. Led by artistic director and producer Lynda Stein with music director John Cavazos, the camp trains campers with a professional approach intended to prepare them for performing arts schools and careers in media, film, commercial work and theatre, while keeping traditional camp fun in the mix. Campers audition, rehearse and perform a full production over two weeks; the 2026 show is The Jungle Book, presented Friday, July 31. Camp meets weekdays from 9:30am to 3:30pm at Christ Church Orlando on South Orange Avenue, with optional before and after care. The organization also offers one-on-one acting coaching and adult acting training on request.

Campers audition, rehearse and perform a full show in two weeks; the 2026 production is Disney's The Jungle Book. New campers are age 6 (going into 1st grade and reading) to 11 (going into 6th grade); returning campers are ages 7-15. Participation in the Friday July 31 show is mandatory. Late registrations accepted up to two weeks before camp with a $50 late fee; refund requests after June 22, 2026 incur a $125 administration fee. Lunches and snacks are not provided and no food warming is available on site.
