PLAY WRITING

Play Writing is a week-long evening course offered by Theatre Arts For Everyone (TAFE) at the Union Lutheran Church East Campus, 700 East Market Street in York, Pennsylvania, for participants age 18 and over. The premise is that a play is simply people talking to one another, so anyone who can talk can write one. Through games, observation exercises and group interaction, students discover the playwright's craft and work toward putting their own stories on the page in script form. The 2026 session met July 6 through 10 from 6:30 to 8:30pm and cost $85. Registration is by online Google form or a downloadable mail-in form, with payment online or by check, and financial scholarships are available.
