Video: Baby Byrne & Dava Huesca sing 'Macavity' from Cats: The Jellicle Ball at 54 Below
See a highlight from ANOTHER OPENING, ANOTHER DEBUT! on 5/11
Every year new faces join the Broadway community. Whether it took them eight auditions or they were picked out from a national casting call, getting that magical phone call is something they will never forget. At Another Opening, Another Debut! the audience at 54 Below was treated to highlights of some of the new faces appearing on New York's 41 Broadway stages in the 2025-26 season! The actors had the chance to sing and talk about their journey to the stage, whether they joined their show Off-Broadway, out-of-town, or opened fresh on Broadway. Each actor has a unique path to the moment they finally get to step onto a Broadway stage. The show featured Musical Direction by Drew Wutke (@drewwutke) and was produced by Jen Sandler (@jensandler).
Below, see Baby Byrne & Dava Huesca from Broadway's Cats: The Jellicle Ball singing "Macavity: The Mystery Cat." Both of these magnetic performers made their Broadway debut this season in the show. The pair made good use of 54 Below's intimate cabaret space, roaming through the audience.
