Photos: Alex Newell, Kate Baldwin, and More Perform at Mark MacKillop's Salon For Broadway Cares

On April 27th, Mark MacKillop hosted his fourth Salon in the home of Interior Designer Jamie Drake. Performances from Mark MacKillop, Alex Newell, Kate Baldwin, David Burtka, Brandon Contreras and Sam Gravitte with Michael Cushieri on piano and Daniel Shevlin on Cello. Mark sang “If I Loved You” from Carousel and his new single “A Love Like That” accompanied by Michael Fink. David performed “Flight” and “Carousel.” Sam sang “Buddy’s Eyes” and “Unusual Way.” Brandon sang from Operation Mincemeat and “Bring on the men.” Kate sang a beautiful tribute to Gavin Creel with a mash up of “what I’ll do” and “time heals everything” and Alex sang “Feeling I’m Falling” and closed the evening with their Tony Award winning performance of “Independently Owned."

Danny Whitman came to talk about and share the work of how Broadway Cares is actively helping our communities. The evening was limited to 40 guests and raised over $34,000 for Broadway Cares bringing Mark only $40,000 away from his personal goal of raising a million dollars for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.
