Drag Queen Chase Runaway Will Present CHASE VS. BRIDGET: IN SPACE! at Red Eye NY
The story-driven cabaret show features Chase Runaway as Captain aboard the SS Runaway in a cosmic showdown.
Drag Queen Chase Runaway blasts off with a brand-new cabaret live show, CHASE VS. BRIDGET: IN SPACE!, landing at RED EYE NY on May 21 at 8PM. Combining drag, vintage campy sci-fi, and some classic musical favorites, Chase takes her audience on an intergalactic journey where glitz, grudges, and gravity all get defied like never before.
In CHASE VS. BRIDGET: IN SPACE!, Captain Chase Runaway and her crew welcome escapees from a fallen planet aboard the SS Runaway to find them a brand new home. However, she is not the only intergalactic diva with a mission, as the EVIL BRIDGET is hellbent on destroying Chase at any cost. As the two twist through the cosmos, this showdown is one for the (space) ages!
"This show is the ultimate culmination of everything I love about drag in a cabaret space. It is cabaret cranked up to lightspeed," says Chase, nursing a pre-show cold. "I've always been a spacey Sailor Moon kid, and being able to have this live showdown with Bridget is something everyone aboard the ship is going to be able to relate to."
And who is the Evil Bridget, you might ask? "You know Bridget. Everyone knows Bridget. I can't wait for you to meet Bridget."
Known for a bold, story‑driven approach to drag, Chase Runaway (also known offstage as Chase Ingrande) has become a standout in the New York City drag scene. As the winner of Red Idol Season 3 hosted by Castrata (for which this show is possible), Chase's work has been featured in Them, PopSugar, Allure Magazine, and across platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
