iThentic Rebrands Distribution Platform as iFestivus; Partners with FUNNY OR DIE

iThentic announced today the rebrand of its distribution platform - under the name iFestivus. The digital content studio also announced a strategic partnership with comedy powerhouse, FUNNY OR DIE, with the launch of a dedicated iFestivus comedy channel on that platform.

Headlining the iFestivus launch on FUNNY OR DIE is the first season of iThentic's award-winning digital-first series, Space Riders: Division Earth. The sci-fi comedy series - created, written and starring Mark Little (Variety's Top 10 Comedians to Watch, Mr. D) and Dan Beirne (The Handmaid's Tale, Fargo), directed by Jordan Canning (Baroness von Sketch Show, This Hour Has 22 Minutes) - follows the adventures of two out-of-shape NOBODIES who accidentally become Earth's heroes.

Winner of the 2015 Canadian Screen Award for Best Digital Program, four Canadian Comedy Awards, the IAWTV Award for Best Writing (Comedy), Best Series at the HollyWeb Festival, along with multiple wins at the ROME Web Awards and screenings at festivals around the world, Space Riders: Division Earth is an iThentic production in association with Bell Media and with the participation of the Independent Production Fund, the OMDC (Ontario Media Development Corporation) and the CMF (Canada Media Fund).

iFestivus will showcase the best of iThentic's library of comedy content including its latest original title from beloved comedian, Chris Locke (Laugh Sabbath), entitled Learning Nature With Chris. Beginning December 12, 2017, the second season of Space Riders: Division Earth will also be launched. The iFestivus team is also curating a selection of comedy series from third party producers to be presented on its channel in the coming months.

"It is an honour for iFestivus to be part of the FUNNY OR DIE family - one of the strongest comedic brands in the business," commented Catherine Tait, Founder/Chair of iThentic. "Launching with Space Riders on FUNNY OR DIE is a perfect storm!"
