Boosted by Tour de France, the World Cup and NBA Free Agency, the Yahoo Sports - NBC Sports Network digital alliance ranked No. 2 among all sports digital sites in July with 58.3 million uniques, up 11% versus the prior year, according to multiplatform data released by comScore.

NBC Sports Digital Unveils Tactical Cam for Premier League Liverpool - Manchester City Match Next Monday

NBC Sports Digital will formally debut its "Tactical Cam" during next Monday's highly-anticipated Liverpool at Manchester City match. The "Tactical Cam" is a high sideline camera meant to show all 22 players on The Pitch at the same time, enabling fans to see formations and evaluate each team's attacking and defending tactics as the game progresses.

The "Tactical Cam" will be available in both the NBC Sports Live Extra desktop and mobile & tablet presentations of the game. This new second screen application can be viewed in a Picture-in-Picture presentation on desktop where the user has the option of popping up the "Tactical Cam" in the main screen while following the main coverage in a smaller viewing window. On a mobile device or tablet, "Tactical Cam" can be viewed as a separate stream to complement the traditional broadcast view.

"The 'Tactical Cam' is our latest attempt to give U.S.-based fans of the Premier League the best and most comprehensive coverage available anywhere," saidTom Seeley, Vice President, Editorial, NBC Sports Digital. "After making every game available to fans in the U.S. for the first time last season, we're hoping that additions like 'Tactical Cam' will give fans even more to enjoy every weekend."

Additional second screen applications within NBC Sports Live Extra Premier League coverage includes a state-of-the-art video player that features HD video, in-game DVR capability, social media commentary as well as live, statistical data feeds from each game related to the teams and players.

NBC conducted a limited test of the "Tactical Cam" during Monday's Burnley-Chelsea game but Monday's match will feature a full product rollout over both desktop and mobile.

GolfChannel.com Scores All-Time Highs in July

GolfChannel.com continued its momentum in July, again setting all-time highs in key metrics for any month on record. Milestones include video starts at 3.8 million, up more than 50% from its previous all-time record (April 2014, 2.5 million), and uniques with 4.9 million, beating the previous record by 10% (April 2014, 4.5 million). July also marks the third time this year GolfChannel.com has set a new monthly all-time high in video starts and uniques. It also marks seven straight months that have set "best ever" milestones for that month in video starts, and six out of seven months for uniques.

Record Minutes Streamed for Premier League Opening Weekend

As recently announced, NBC Sports Digital posted record-setting numbers on NBC Sports Live Extra this past weekend as it kicked off opening weekend of the 2014-15 Premier League season. Fans streamed more than 8.9 million minutes of action- best-ever for a Premier League weekend - via NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets, a 56% increase from last year's 5.7 million minutes.

NBC Sports - Yahoo Sports Alliance Launches Mad Dash

The NBC Sports/Yahoo Sports alliance will debut Mad Dash, an original, short-form, video series starting Monday, August 25. A weekday morning presentation,Mad Dash spotlights 3-5 of the top trending, sports stories of that day as determined by Yahoo Sports using multiple, social media sources.

"Yahoo has been great at identifying the buzziest sports stories of the day; and with a collaborative, Yahoo/NBC Sports, co-production, Mad Dash plans to deliver the freshest take each morning on these stories," said Dan Steir, Senior Vice President, Production, NBC Sports Group.
