Stephen A. Smith announced the two winners - one male and one female - of the "First Take, Your Take" viewer CONTEST on FIRST TAKE earlier today. The winners, selected by the FIRST TAKE staff, will travel to ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., to receive the full backstage experience and join Stephen A. Smith , Max Kellerman and Molly Qerim in a televised debate. The trip includes roundtrip airfare, one night hotel accommodations and transportation to ESPN's headquarters. The specific dates the winners will appear on FIRST TAKE will be announced at a later date.

"I'm excited for both of our winners," said Smith. "They both encompass what we were looking for: presentation, substance and a passion to go at Max and me. They asked for it, they've got it. I congratulate them now. My condolences will arrive later."

"Stephen A. came to me with this idea because First Take viewers really know their sports," said Antoine Lewis, ESPN Coordinating Producer for First Take. "We had over 7,000 entries and were impressed with the presentation, knowledge and creativity. They made it hard to pick the winners. Chrystal and Mikal need to know that talking to a cell phone is not like trying to make points while sitting across from Stephen A. and Max, so they better be prepared when they step on our set. And for those who didn't win...we plan to do this again next year."

For six weeks starting October 13, fans uploaded one-minute videos with their best original sports debate to FirstTakeYourTake.com for the chance to debate Smith and Kellerman on national television. Two were selected out of more than 7,000 entries.

First Take is ESPN2's weekday morning studio debate show featuring commentators Smith and Kellerman with host Qerim. First Take airs weekday mornings from 10 a.m. - noon ET, and will air on ESPN beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. The lively two-hour program will continue to focus on the most compelling and entertaining topics of the day from the world of sports. Follow First Take on Twitter, Facebook or the Podcast for more updates and information.
