Voice Cameo From Oprah To Be Featured On All New HANDMAIDS TALE This Week

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oprah Winfrey is set to be have her voice be featured in the all new upcoming episode of THE HANDMAID'S TALE on Hulu. The new episode is called "Holly". Read more about the news from The Hollywood Reporter here!

HANDMAID'S creator and showrunner, Bruce Miller, tell THR about the cameo, saying "We'd heard Oprah was a fan of the show, and had a story idea, and thought, wouldn't it be wonderful if... . So we asked and she said yes, and it was a lovely, easy process. The radio segment she recorded was inspired by the free radio of the Allies from WW2. It was an absolute honor to have Oprah featured on the show, and especially thrilling as she was THE ONE who presented us with the Emmy last year."

The 13-episode second season will be shaped by Offred's pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead. "Gilead is within you" is a favorite saying of Aunt Lydia. In Season Two, Offred and all characters will fight against - or succumb to - this dark truth.

The Handmaid's Tale comes to Hulu from MGM Television and is created, executive produced and written by Bruce Miller. Executive produced by Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, and Ilene Chaiken. MGM serves as the international distributor for the series. The series stars Emmy(R) and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle and Amanda Brugel.
