VIDEO: Ricky Martin Opens DWTS with New World Cup Song 'Vida'
Last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS opened up with a great performance by guest judge Ricky Martin, who sang his 2014 WORLD Cup song "Vida" accompanied by the show's Pro Dancers. Check out the sizzling number below!
Grammy award winning, multi-platinum recording artist, Ricky Martin, has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide. In his continued success, Martin has received four Grammy's awards, three Latin Grammy awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards and 10MTV VMA's. After spending five years in the spotlight with Menudo, Martin set-off on his own musical path. His self-titled solo album was debuted in 1991.
Martin's continued growing success of landmark singles, including "Maria," and his globally embraced 1998 WORLD Cup Anthem "La Copa de la Vida" (The Cup of Life), vaulted him to the level of bona fide global superstar. Martin spent the latter part of the year in 2012 on stage inhabiting Che, the lead role in the Broadway revival of the musical "Evita." Following his very successful year long run in "Evita," Martin started another exciting adventure and embarked this time as one of the coaches on the second and third season of "The Voice" in Australia. In April 2014, Martin launched his television special "SuperSong," one can find exclusively on Crackle. "SuperSong" is a song competition for aspiring musicians and fans around theWORLD that gave opportunity for individuals to create a song for the WORLD Cup. In the same month, Martin launched the video for his latest hit single "Vida."
