US Premiere of James Corden's Hulu Original THE WRONG MANS Set for NYTVF, 10/26

The NYTVF (www.nytvf.com) today announced that the U.S. premiere of Hulu's upcoming comedy thriller, The Wrong Mans will be the signature red carpet event during closing night of the 9th annual New York Television Festival.

Taking place on October 26 at Tribeca Cinemas, a debut screening of the series' first two episodes will be followed by a talk-back featuring creators, writers, and stars.

The Wrong Mans, launching on Hulu on November 11, is co-written by and co-starring Tony Award-winner James Corden (Doctor Who, Gavin & Stacey, Gulliver's Travels) and Mathew Baynton (Peep Show, Spy, Gavin & Stacey), with director and producer Jim Field Smith (Episodes, Butter, She's Out of My League).

"This project represents the very best of what's happening in the television landscape and how the art form, as we know it, is evolving," said NYTVF Founder Terence Gray. "We are thrilled and honored to debut The Wrong Mans as part of the 2013 Festival line-up and look forward to sharing the series with our community of creators and TV fans two weeks before it premieres in the U.S. on Hulu."

The ninth annual New York Television Festival kicks off on Monday, October 21 and will feature nearly eighty free events, including competition screenings of selections in its flagship Independent Pilot Competition as well as panel series tackling the digital content landscape and creative development for TV.

A limited number of free tickets for the closing night event are available through the NYTVF Box Office. Additionally, those who purchase a full pass to the Festival have the opportunity to attend this event.

The Wrong Mans centers on Sam (Baynton), and Phil (Corden), two lowly office workers who become caught up in a deadly criminal conspiracy after Sam discovers a ringing phone at the scene of a horrific car crash.Answering this phone turns his world upside down, as he and Phil soon realize it's up to them to step up and save the day. They are in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong skills. They are The Wrong Mans.

Hulu's second co-production with BBC brokered by BBC Worldwide Americas, the series is directed and produced by Jim Field Smith (Episodes, Butter, She's Out of My League) and executive produced by Mark Freeland for BBC. The six episode series will launch on Hulu and Hulu Plus on November 11, 2013.
