'This Week with George Stephanopoulos' is the Number 1 Public Affairs Program for the First Time in 21 Years

ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 2.873 million Total Viewers and 773,000 Adults 25-54 on August 16, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. In Total Viewers, "This Week" led CBS' "Face the Nation" (2.837 million) by 36,000.

Season to date, "This Week" ranks as the No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (873,000), taking the top spot for the first time at this point of the season in 21 years - since the 1993-94 season. "This Week" leads CBS' "Face the Nation" (865,000) by 8,000 and NBC's "Meet the Press" (811,000) by 62,000.

"This Week" is up in Adults 25-54 (+5% - 873,000 vs. 829,000) versus its year-ago season average. Growing its Adults 25-54 performance for the 2nd year in a row, "This Week" is delivering its strongest news demo performance in 6 years - since the 2008-09 season. In fact, "This Week" is up the most in Adults 25-54, compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (-2%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (+2%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (flat).

In addition, "This Week" is outdelivering NBC's "Meet the Press" in Total Viewers (+4,000) and Adults 25-54 (+62,000) for the 2nd-straight year, seeing its largest news demo lead in 22 years - since the 1992-93 season.
