Telemundo's Dra. Polo to Showcase Most Unusual Cases, Beginning 11/3

Renowned TV personality, Dra. Ana María Polo, host of Telemundo's successful "Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado," "Caso Cerrado" and "Caso Cerrado Edición Estelar," will present the hottest, most unusual and moving cases during the month November. The most charming and trusted attorney on U.S. Hispanic television, will bring viewers a series of cases related to adoption, cancer, abuse, divorce, homophobia and discrimination, among others. Beginning Monday, November 3rd, "Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado" moves to 3pm/2c and "Caso Cerrado"* will air a half hour edition at 5pm/4c. "Caso Cerrado Edición Estelar" remains at 7pm/6c time slot.

This month, "Caso Cerrado Edición Estelar" will feature cases including a woman who was adopted when she was three years old and, after being abused by her adoptive parents, she discovers that the person who adopted her for a second time is her own biological mother; a teenager with cancer who asks to divorce her parents in order to live with her condition in peace; and a man who demands his right to be recognized as the father of his daughter but is denied because he is gay and the daughter is homophobic. Furthermore, Polo will present the unbelievable case of a sterile woman who lends her husband to her sister-in-law in order to get pregnant and another female who cannot stand her husband who suffers from multiple personalities. Viewers also will be surprised when they meet a woman who regrets marrying her father-in-law and another one who wants to reunite with her kids after abandoning them.

With more than 20 years of experience practicing law, Dr. Ana Maria Polo has maintained an undivided connection with the U.S. Hispanic community from coast to coast and abroad. In addition to composing and singing the theme song of her program, the award winning TV personality is the author of "Querida Dra. Polo: Las cartas secretas de Caso Cerrado"(Dear Dr. Polo: The Secret Letters of "Caso Cerrado"), based on letters sent by viewers, which narrate the secret underworld life of thousands of individuals who can no longer distinguish between good and evil. In 2011, Polo was recognized with the Mickey Leland Humanitarian Achievement Award given by the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications that honors individuals and organizations affiliated with the communications industry which demonstrate a humanitarian commitment. The same year, she was named the first Hispanic ambassador for Stand Up To Cancer, joining an esteemed list of national and international celebrity supporters of the initiative, which raises awareness and funds for collaborative cancer research. As a breast cancer survivor, Polo has become a fighting role model for many women, and works with different organizations that fight to find a cure to this disease. Her commitment to the Hispanic community has also prompted her involvement with various causes such as human rights and discrimination.
