TV's 'Brothers & Sisters' to Welcome Broadway Star Jon Tenney

Broadway star Jon Tenney has landed a recurring role on the hit television series "Brothers & Sisters." Tenney will play a character namEd Simon, a new love interest for Nora Walker, the character played by Sally Field. Executive producer David Marshall Grant says of the character, "Nora meets Simon, who is an oncologist at the hospital where Kitty is getting treated, and they start an affair."

Tenney has worked steadily on and off-Broadway, as well as in regional theater for his career. His New York City stage credits include Biloxi Blues (Broadway), The Substance of Fire, and The Heiress (Broadway). Tenney's work in television includes a lead role in the short-lived Steven Bochco series Brooklyn South, the Kristin Chenoweth sitcom Kristin and guest appearances on Will & Grace, Murphy Brown, Spenser: for Hire, and Get Real. He currently co-stars as Kyra Sedgwick's love interest on the TNT crime drama The Closer.

Brothers & Sisters is an American dramatic television series that centers on the upper class Walker family and their lives in Los Angeles, California. It premiered on ABC on September 24, 2006 after Desperate Housewives and airs Sundays. The current acting ensemble includes Sally Field, Rachel Griffiths, Calista Flockhart, Balthazar Getty, Matthew Rhys, DAVE ANNABLE, Ron Rifkin, Rob Lowe, Luke MacFarlane, Emily Vancamp, Patricia Wettig and Tom Skerritt. Sally Field won the 2007 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Nora Walker. Rachel Griffiths was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
