Coming off an explosive 2012 summer season as TV One's most watched reality series, R&B Divas has been renewed by the network for a second season and begins production in Atlanta this month. The show, which followed Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson and Keke Wyatt working together to produce a compilation album, will return featuring the original cast in spring 2013 with an eight-episode order. Based on its success with the format, TV One will spin-off a second series, R&B Divas: LA (Working Title), which will follow the lives and careers of five yet-to-be-named Los Angeles based R&B performers with an eight-episode order slated for Q3 2013.

R&B Divas premiered August 20 and quickly established itself as one of the network's most popular shows. In its first season, R&B Divas averaged a 0.75 HH rating delivering 426,000 homes and among 25-54, posted a 0.63 rating, delivering 395,000 viewers. Over the course of eight telecasts, the show reached over 2.7M unique viewers and enjoyed a 132% increase in its Facebook fans.

"R&B Divas has definitely struck a positive chord with viewers," remarked Toni Judkins, executive vice president programming and production for TV One. "Week-after-week, the series continued to build on its audience and we're thrilled to provide another season and a new franchise of a dynamic program that is clearly resonating with audiences."

"We are elated to team up with TV One yet again on Season 2 of R&B Divas," said Thinkfactory Media Executive Producer, Adam Reed. "We look forward to showing the fans the many incredible things the ladies are up to now and can't wait to give viewers a glimpse into what the west coast has to offer with the new LA spinoff."

R&B Divas is produced for TV One by ThinkFactory Media. ThinkFactory Media Executive Producers are Adam Reed, Adam Freeman, and Leslie Greif. Additional executive producers are Phil Thornton and Paul Coy Allen. Executive in charge of production for TV One is Jubba Seyyid.
