The award-winning, mega-hit series ER, which dominated the television landscape for 15 seasons, is returning to TV screens...this time as a Spanish-language version that RCN, FOX International Channels and TC have commissioned in Colombia from Warner Bros. International Television Production.

The 60-episode season is being produced by Resonant and is scheduled to premiere in Spring 2014. Casting will begin in February 2014, with production taking place from May.

Originally produced in the U.S. by Constant c Productions, Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Television, the series premiered on NBC in 1994 and ran for 15 seasons in the U.S. and across the globe, with over 300 episodes produced. The most Emmy-nominated series in history, with 124 nominations, ER was honoured with more than 116 awards during its run, including 23 Emmy Awards and a prestigious Peabody Award.

Combining the extraordinary talents of best-selling author Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park), award-winning producer John Wells (The West Wing, Third Watch) and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, ER explores the inner workings of an urban teaching hospital and the critical issues faced by the dedicated physicians and staff of its overburdened emergency room. These medical professionals remain determined to save lives in a place where nothing is taken for granted and nothing is certain ... nothing except that another desperate person will be rushed through the emergency room door in the next moment, in need of their help. Some will live and some will die - but the dedication and passion of these healers will endure.

"We are extremely pleased to be working with Resonanton the first Latin American version of ER. It is one of the most successful, highly rated and recognizable TV programmes ever created and we're excited to see this iconic format produced for Spanish speaking audiences" said Andrew Zein, Senior Vice President, Creative, Format Development and Sales, Warner Bros. International Television Production.

"We are thrilled to produce an adaptation of ER, one of the best written TV series of all times, and to have the chance to offer Latin American audiences such a relatable and believable ensemble of characters", said Gonzalo Cilley and Guillermo Restrepo, partners and producers, Resonant TV Colombia.

"Even though ER is a fundamental American series, its characters and situations are so strong, moving and universal that will surely find a place in the hearts of Latin American audiences. We are eager to have it on our screen" said Fernando Gaitan, VP of Content & Production, RCN.

"We are thrilled to offer to all Latin American viewers a unique and high quality content in Spanish such as "ER" on MundoFox. It's really exciting to broadcast the Spanish-language version of such an iconic and successful series and we are confident that our audiences will embrace it." Gonzalo Fiure, Chief Content Officer, FOX International Channels Latin America.

Warner Bros. International Television Production
Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) aims to establish or acquire production companies in the major television territories around the world in order to become a leading producer of local scripted and non-scripted programming.

In those territories where WBITVP establishes a production base, it operates by developing and producing original programming and also producing local versions of formats owned and controlled by the group such as "The Bachelor", "The World's Strictest Parents" and "Who Do You Think You Are?" Where WBITVP has no local production capability it licenses Warner Bros. formats to 3rd parties.

WBITVP has taken significant steps by acquiring a majority stake in both UK production group Shed Media, one of the UK's largest and most successful independent production companies which operates both in the UK and the US, and in BlazHoffski Holding B.V., a leading independent television producer in The Netherlands and Belgium.
