R&B Girl Group TLC At Work On A Broadway Bio-Musical

According to the New York Post, the surviving members of the R&B group TLC are currently at work bringing their story to the stage.

Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins revealed the news in a recent interview promoting their latest concert tour.

"We're also working on the TLC musical and TLC on Broadway," they noted "We're going to create new music for those projects as well."

According to the group, the project would feature behind the scenes stories that were not featured in the VH1 television movie chronicling the group's rise.

"We didn't tell everything," she said. "We have so many stories to tell. We didn't tell it all in our biopic we did with VH1. A lot of good stuff. It's gonna be very emotional but a good ride."

With over 65 million records sold, TLC is the best-selling American girl group and second worldwide. TLC has been ranked as the greatest female group, placing them at number 12 on the list of 100 Greatest Women in Music. Billboard magazine ranked TLC as one of the greatest musical trios, as well as the seventh most successful act of the 1990s. The group has won four Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards and five Soul Train Music Awards.

The group's third member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes passed away in 2002.
