Production Underway for DANCER AND THE DAME Starring 'Mike & Molly's Billy Gardell

Pure Flix, the studio behind the smash movie GOD'S NOT DEAD, is currently in production on a new theatrical titled DANCER AND THE DAME. The film began shooting this week in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Starring Billy Gardell from the CBS sitcom "Mike and Molly," the movie pairs his character "Dancer" with a German shepherd sidekick in a cop-buddy movie of the furry variety.

Producer David A.R. White, who also stars in the film, said, "DANCER AND THE DAME is classic family entertainment. This film is a great vehicle for Billy's comedic timing and we are thrilled he signed on for this to be his first starring theatrical release since the success of his TV show."

Also starring in DANCER AND THE DAME are James Denton ("Desperate Housewives"), Michael Badalucco ("The Practice"), Eva LaRue ("CSI: Miami", "All My Children"), Louis Mustillo ("Mike & Molly"), and Quinton Aaron (THE BLIND SIDE).

The film is slated for a winter 2015 theatrical release and follows the record-breaking success of Pure Flix's surprise hit GOD'S NOT DEAD.
