According to EWonline, political pundit Pat Buchanan will no longer be a member of the MSNBC broadcasting team.

Buchanan had been a fixture on the network since 2002 but has not made an on-air appearance since October of last year. At that time, the conservative analyst had been temporarily suspended from the network due to controvercial statements he made in his book, "Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?"  Last month, MSNBC President Phil Griffin had commented in the New York Times, “The ideas he put forth [in his book] aren’t really appropriate for national dialogue, much less the dialogue on MSNBC.” In a statement yesterday, the network wished him well.

Yesterday, Buchanan posted an entry on the American Conservative website entitled "Blacklisted, but not Beaten", in which he commented,  “After 10 enjoyable years, I am departing, after an incessant clamor from the left that to permit me continued access to the microphones of MSNBC would be an outrage against decency, and dangerous.”
