Paul Dano Tapped For New Cruise/Diaz Movie

Variety is reporting that Paul Dano will team up with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in a new, yet-to-be-named action comedy, formerly titled "Wichita."  Filming begins in Boston in October.

Directed by James Mangold, the movie is about a federal agent (Cruise) who is paired with a wholesome and enthusiastic Midwestern woman (Diaz).  Cruise and Diaz spend the moving chasing an important invention belonging to a likable but mysterious scientist (Dano). 

Dano appeared on Broadway in the 1996 revival of INHERIT THE WIND.  He additionally starred in the off-Broadway production of THINGS WE WANT in 2007, directed by Ethan Hawk.  He is perhaps most famous for his roles in "Little Miss Sunshine" and "There Will Be Blood." He is set to appear in the upcoming "Where the Wild Things Are" directed by Spike Jonze and in "The Extra Man" with Kevin Kline and John C. Reilly.
