PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 to Hit Theaters Oct. 25, 2013
Paramount Pictures has officially set a release date for the next installment in the extremely lucrative, and at one time inventive, PARANORAML ACTIVITY franchise. The next film is set to hit theaters on Oct. 25, 2013 Deadline has confirmed. As usual, just in time for Halloween.
Jason Blum has signed on to return as as producer for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5. As of now, it has not been announced as to whether any other members of the creative team will return - including series staple herself, actress Katie Featherston.
The fifth installment will reportedly move the story forward, rather than going back and taking a prequel route like PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3.
As previously reported by TalkMovies World, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4, which was released just last month, was shot for $5 million and brought in just over $135.5 million since then. It netted $30 million in its opening weekend alone. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman served as co-directors, while Zack Estrin penned the script.
