Oxygen's SISTERHOOD OF HIP HOP is Network's Highest-Rated Freshman Premiere of 2014

The series premiere of Oxygen's newest docu-series, "Sisterhood of Hip Hop," following five up-and-coming fierce femcees, delivered 811,000 total viewers, 482,000 P18-49 and 375,000 F18-49, which marks the network's highest-rated freshman series premiere of the year to-date, according to Nielsen. The premiere helped Oxygen earn its highest-rated Primetime of the year to-date among F18-49 and P18-49 and most-watched Tuesday of the year in total day among F18-49 and F25-54. Compared to the prior four week time period average, the series premiere saw impressive growth, up 113 percent among F18-49, 91 percent among P18-49 and 70 percent in total viewers. In the 9pm hour, Oxygen was the #6 cable network among F18-34, out-delivering CBS and FOX.

In addition, Oxygen was the #1 most social reality network in Primetime and the series premiere of "Sisterhood of Hip Hop" was the #2 most social cable reality program in primetime.

On next week's episode, airing on Tuesday, August 19 at 9PM ET/PT, the female MC's find that balancing personal problems with professional success is anything but easy. Diamond and Nyemiah clash over respect, Siya has her heart broken, and Brianna starts to realize that family and business might not mix.
