Over 24 Million Plays of Australian YA Indie Film's Soundtrack Prompts a U.S Film Release of Film AMBROSIA

Priding herself as an energetic and passionate emerging filmmaker, Rhiannon Bannenberg struck gold with her first film she wrote, edited, directed and composed the music for, leaving critics such as Ed Gibbs of ABC TV calling the film a "...visually exquisite debut," and Jason King of SaltyPopcorn to compare Bannenberg to Jane Campion.

Filmed on location in picturesque Illawarra Region of New South Wales, Australia, the young female director channels her unique talents while exploring the undying themes of beauty, tragedy, pain, love, drama, and relationships during what was deemed to be an innocent summer. Critics applauded Bannenberg's vulnerability as a filmmaker and her ability to capture the true essence of this film through breathtaking visuals and scenery.

After a highly successful sold out theatrical run via Fan Force, and with no expectations, the soundtrack organically made its way to the top of the streaming charts and on select playlists garnering mass followers on Spotify after its release, bringing accolades and attention to the film which prompted the producers to release for the US market in late December 2017. The cast contains a refreshing breath of young, raw talent, Elias Jamieson Brown (A Shared House), Scott Lee (Home and Away), Rebecca Montalti (Blind Date), Debbie Neilson (A Silent Agreement), and newcomer Natasha Velkova.

"Ambrosia has been an immense labor of love for me, and I've been truly humbled by the reaction to both the film, and soundtrack, from fans, both in Australia and across the globe. I'm honored that my humble film has received so much attention, and will be available in the U.S. It is my hope that young women across America will be inspired, as I was, to pick up a camera, and tell their stories," said Bannenberg.

Steve Jaggi is a Canadian born film producer and director who is "driven by passion to tell stories which explore the human condition." Bannenberg and Jaggi have combined their expressive talents in creating other projects that continue to set the bar, their 2017 film Rip Tide starring Debby Ryan (Disney's 'Jessie') which Bannenberg Directed and Jaggi Produced, sits in the Top 10 Australian Box Office for 2017 and was welcomed to thunderous applause at the 2017 Sydney Film Festival and Cinefest Oz. Other projects that are currently in the works for this dynamic duo include the film Paton, which tells the tale of Scottish Missionary John Paton and his adventures in the New Hebredies.

"We're thrilled that Rhiannon Bannenberg's outstanding debut will finally be available to U.S. audiences, no DOUBT they will be as enthralled and inspired by Rhiannon's work as Australian audiences have been," said Jaggi.
