RED RUE, an original series written and directed by Michelle Hanson, premieres on Youtube on Monday, September 18, 2017. New episodes will air every Monday and Wednesday, and episodes are completely free to watch. The story's key relationship is between Katie and title character Rue, but the entire series features empowered female characters and compelling female friendships.

"I wrote the show for the LGBT community and their straight allies-and anyone who needs to know that real friends are out there, and life does get better," said creator Michelle Hanson. "If you're a fan of anything with strong female characters, I think you'll really like this show.

This supernatural love story centers on Rue, who died more than 100 years ago on the night of a rare Red Moon. Generations of evil Hunters, who need her spirit in order to unlock the gates of Hell, have been chasing her ghost ever since.

It's up to Rue's human friends Katie, Hardy, Justine and Stella to find a way to save her before all Hell breaks loose-literally. But the farther Rue's friends go to try to save her, the more Katie realizes she has feelings for Rue.

The cast includes ensemble members from MadLab Theatre: Colleen Dunne (Rue), Laura Spires (Katie), Kyle Jepson (Hardy), Cat McAlpline (Justine), Anna Leeper (Stella), Stephen Woosley (Christopher) and Andy Woodmansee (Rob).
New episodes will be released at 6:00 p.m. EST every Monday and Wednesday on YouTube: www.youtube.com/c/RedRueSeries
