Opposite the Return of EMPIRE ABC's ALEX, INC Debuts to Season-Best Total Viewer Retention Out of THE GOLDBERGS

"Alex, Inc." (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 4.6 million and 1.1/5 in AD18-49): Despite debuting against the 2 nd half-hours of Fox's "Empire" return and NBC's "The Voice" special at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, ABC's "Alex, Inc." delivered improved audience retention of its "The Goldbergs" lead-in week to week in Total Viewers (85% vs. 81%) and Adults 18-49 (79% vs. 75%). In fact with Total Viewers, "Alex, Inc." delivered season-best retention for ABC in the half-hour.

The new ABC comedy opened on par with the week-earlier 9-week highs posted by the
season finale of "Speechless" in the slot with Total Viewers (4.6 million) and Adults 18-49
(1.1/5 vs. 1.2/5). In addition, "Alex, Inc." improved the half-hour by 13% in Women 18-34
from the week-earlier "Speechless" closer and posted ABC's highest rating to the slot in more than 2 months - since 1/24/18.

The series stars Zach Braff as Alex Schuman, Michael Imperioli as Eddie, Tiya Sircar as Rooni Schuman, Hillary Anne Matthews as Deirdre, Elisha Henig as Ben Schuman and Audyssie James as Soraya Schuman.
