Naomi Watts is reportedly close to enlisting with a group of midlife crisis-prone hipsters.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress is in talks for Noah Baumbach's film WHILE WE'RE YOUNG, which is tentatively set to begin production this fall in New York. Scott Rudin will produce.

Ben Stiller and GIRLS' Adam Driver have already inked deals to star, with Amanda Seyfried reportedly circling a role as well.

According to the report, "the story revolves around an uptight documentary filmmaker (Stiller) and his wife (Watts) who find their lives loosened up a bit after befriending a free-spirited younger couple (Driver and potentially Seyfried)."

As the report notes, Baumbach has scrambled for years to get the project off the ground, with stars such as Cate Blanchett and James Franco attached, but ultimately walking away.

The next year, she received public recognition for her participation in the box office hit horror film The Ring. In 2004, she received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress as well as for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Cristina Peck in Alejandro González Iñárritu's 2003 drama 21 Grams, alongside Sean Penn.

Other film roles include the 2005 remake of King Kong, the 2006 remake of The Painted Veil, the 2007 thriller Eastern Promises, and the 2009 thriller The International. In 2010, Watts portrayed Valerie Plame Wilson, opposite Sean Penn as Joe Wilson, in Fair Game. In 2012, Watts garnered Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Broadcast Film Critics Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for her role in The Impossible.
