NBC's THE VOICE, SNL ELECTION are No. 1 & 2 Shows of Monday Night on Big 4

Led by the #1 and 2 telecasts of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49 -- "The Voice" and "The 2016 SNL Election Special" -- NBC wins the night among those networks in all key measures - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - sweeping six of six half-hours among the Big 4 in adults 18-49. Note the ABC station in Buffalo carried NFL football.

"The Voice" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 9.9 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET): Ranks as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos.

Wins the time period among those nets in every key demographic.

Grows +15% week to week in 18-49 (2.3 vs. 2.0) and +5% in total viewers (9.919 million vs. 9.475 million).

Retains 100% of its 18-49 rating for the comparable telecast of the prior cycle (2.3 vs. 2.3 on April 11).

Beats "Dancing With the Stars" by a +44% margin in 18-49 (2.3 vs. 1.6 from 8-10 p.m.).

Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD - so far this season, "The Voice" is growing by +27% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 3.00 to a 3.80) and more than +2.3 million viewers overall (11.7 million to 14.0 million).

Upscale: "The Voice" is generating a solid upscale audience, indexing at a 113 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

"The 2016 SNL Election Special" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 7.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Wins the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure. Beats the ABC and CBS competition combined in adults 18-49 (2.1 vs. a combined 1.8 for CBS's "Scorpion" [1.1] and ABC's "Conviction" [0.7]).

Wins the slot among those nets by a +91% margin (2.1 vs. 1.1 for "Scorpion").

Is the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 behind only "The Voice."

Scores NBC's top results in the time period, excluding debate analysis, since Sept. 19 (2.3 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall for the two debut half-hours of "The Good Place").

Improves +31% on NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 (2.1 vs.1.6) and +32% in total viewers (7.946 million vs. 6.021 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.1/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week: NBC has finished #2 for the primetime ratings week of Oct. 31-Nov. 6 in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics (including ties in adults 25-54 and men 25-54), behind only World Series-boosted Fox, according to "live plus same day" viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC was paced by top-10 rankings in adults 18-49 for "Sunday Night Football" (tied for #2), Tuesday's "This Is Us" (#8) and Monday's "The Voice" (#10) among primetime shows on the Big 4 networks, excluding sports pre- and post-game shows. Joining that trio in the top 30 were Tuesday's "Chicago Fire" and "Voice" encore recap (both tied for #13), Thursday's "Chicago Med" (tied for #21) and Thursday's "The Good Place" (tied for #27).

On that list, "Sunday Night Football" trailed only Wednesday's seventh and deciding game of the Chicago Cubs-Cleveland Indians WORLD SERIES on Fox.

Season to date, NBC is tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 25-54 and is #1 outright in women 18-49 and women 25-54, while only trailing World Series-boosted FOX in every other key demographic.

Counting only entertainment programming season to date (excluding live news and sports), NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 (tie).
