NBC's MACY's 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR Grows +1.1 Million Viewers Year-to-Year, Currently Most-Watched in 6 Years

NBC dominates primetime with the "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks® Spectacular" and the 10 p.m. "Macy's" recap giving NBC convincing primetime wins among the Big 4 networks in every key ratings measure. NOTE: There were preemptions for local fireworks coverage on each of the Big 4 networks.

"Macy's 4th of July Fireworks® Spectacular" (1.2/7 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):

· Is currently up year to year in total viewers by +1.1 million persons or +17% (7.457 million vs. 6.361 million), pending updates, and is running within 0.1 of last year in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.3), and note the year-ago special did not face competition from "Big Brother" or any other original programming on the Big 4 networks.

· It's currently the most-watched annual "Macy's 4th of July" special since 2012 (8.1 million).

· Is the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures.

· Generates growth throughout its two hours, with this track: 0.9, 1.0, 1.3, 1.7.

· Increases by +89% from its first half-hour to its fourth in 18-49 rating (0.9 to 1.7) and +82% or +4.8 million persons in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 10.6 million).

· In the 9-10 p.m. hour, "Macy's" tops "Big Brother" head to head by a +67% margin in 18-49 (1.5 vs. 0.9) and +5.0 million viewers overall (8.9 million vs. 3.9 million).

A recap telecast of "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" (0.9/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):

· Pending updates, is currently up +3% versus the year-ago 10 p.m. recap in total viewers (4.894 million vs. 4.734 million).

· Wins the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings demographic

· Currently ranks as the #2 show of the night in adults 18-49 (tie) and total viewers behind only the 8-10 p.m.original "Macy's" telecast XCZXZXZX

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.6/4 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
