NBC's HEARTBEAT Grows Week-to-Week in Total Viewers

NBC's HEARTBEAT (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Is currently up +14% or 0.1 of a point week to week in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7) and +19% in total viewers (4.690 million vs. 3.957 million), pending updates.

Is currently extremely close to rounding up to a 0.9 (reporting a 0.849 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).

If the 0.8 and 4.7 million viewers stand in official nationals, these will be the show's top Nielsens since March 30 (0.9 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall). Will grow with time-shifted viewing and VOD:
L+3: the prior "Heartbeat" telecast grown by +28% in 18-49 (0.71 to 0.91) and 685,000 viewers overall (4.0 million to 4.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

L+7: "Heartbeat" has increased by +28% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 0.82 to a 1.05) and 1.0 million viewers overall (4.6 million to 5.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7

Upscale: "Heartbeat" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 109 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Is currently up +14% versus last week's encore in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7) and +5% in total viewers (3.747 million vs. 3.575 million), pending updates and is currently matching its 18-49 average for rebroadcasts during the month of April 2015 (0.8 vs. 0.8), when it did not face competition from "Empire."

A rebroadcast "Chicago P.D." (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Is currently close to rounding up to a 0.8 (reporting a 0.74 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings) and is currently up +1% versus last week's encore in total viewers (4.051 million vs. 4.019 million), pending updates.

Is tied for #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in men 18-49 versus original ABC and CBS drama competition.

Note the NBC affiliate in Portland carried NBA basketball.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night (the Houston and Denver markets are currently excluded):

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
