NBC's CHICAGO FIRE Matches January Ratings High

"Chicago Fire" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled its highest adult 18-49 rating since Jan. 7 and delivered it biggest overall audience since March 11. Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Chicago Fire" grew half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including a gain of 11% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.0 from a 1.8).

"Chicago Fire" tied for #1 in the 10 p.m. hour in adults 18-49 among ABC, CBS and NBC and pulled ahead into first place outright from 10:30-11 (with a 2.0 rating that half-hour vs. a 1.8 for CBS's "Person of Interest"). For the full hour, "Chicago Fire" was #1 outright among ABC, CBS and NBC in women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34.

"Chicago Fire" has now matched or improved on its prior rating with its last three first-run telecasts.

"The Voice" (2.5/9 in 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) is up +4% versus last week's 2.4 in these prelim fast-national ratings and is matching last week's 2.5 in official nationals. "The Voice" is also up week to week in total viewers (10.8 million vs. 10.7 million). "The Voice" leads the time period among the Big 4 nets in adults, men and women 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54. From half-hour to half-hour, "The Voice" is up in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

"About a Boy" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) is up +13% week to week in adults 18-49, to a three-week high (best since April 22), and is currently up +12% in total viewers (6.869 million vs. 6.044 million) to a four-week high (best since April 15), pending updates. The 9:01 "About a Boy" topped comedy competition in the slot from ABC's "Goldbergs," as well as Fox's improv debut "Riot," in adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

A second telecast of "About a Boy" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) retained 88% of its 18-49 lead-in from the prior "Boy." The 9:31 "About a Boy" equaled NBC's top 18-49 rating in the half-hour since April 1. The 9:31 "About a Boy" topped comedy competition in the slot from ABC's "Trophy Wife," as well as Fox's improv debut "Riot," in all key measures.

In adults 18-34, NBC is #1 for the night among the Big 4 networks.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.5/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
