Most Pirated TV Show of 2014 Revealed!

According to Torrent Freak, HBO's GAME OF THRONES was 2014's most pirated TV show online. The fourth season finale of the series scored 8.1 million illegal downloads, handily beating last year's season finale record of 5.9 million.

Among the new series which made this year's list was FOX's "Gotham," coming in at 3.2 million for its most pirated episode. "Grey's Anatomy" and "South Park" were also newcomers to the annual top ten list. "The Walking Dead," "The Big Bang Theory," "Arrow" and "Vikings" remained strong, all making significant jumps, while USA Network's "Suits" saw a decline this year.

The list uses stats from from public BitTorrent trackers, but NOT from online streaming and cyberlocker downloads. The full list of top ten follows:

The Big Bang Theory (3.9 million)
How I Met Your Mother (3.5 million)
Gotham (3.2 million)
Arrow (2.9 million)
Grey's Anatomy (2.8 million)
