Mikhail Makeyev Produces New Indie Drama INDIGO VALLEY Notable film producer Mikhail Makeyev ("Delta Girl") has finished filming the production of the upcoming independent feature film "Indigo Valley," from writer/director Jaclyn Bethany ("Between Departures").

"Indigo Valley is a character-driven psychological drama about three characters struggling to find their place in the world," Makeyev said. "The majority of people live in a world different from what they dreamt about and unwilling to find their true selves. I was attracted to the script which is exploring the DARKNESS of human souls and the actions they take to save themselves."

The film, written and directed by Bethany who also stars, tells the story of estranged sisters Louise and Isabella. But when Isabella unexpectedly joins Louise and her new husband John on their honeymoon through the wilderness, tensions arise and SECRETS between all three begin to surface in unpredictable and dangerous ways.

"Indigo Valley" stars Rosie Day ("Outlander"), Jason Sklenar ("Mapplethorpe"), Greta Bellamacina ("Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire") and Atli Oskar Fjalarsson ("Sparrows").

The film is set to be delivered next year with plans for showings at a number of film festivals as producers seek to secure distribution for release in 2019.

"We have been working hard on its marketing plan and hope to reach certain goals," Makeyev said. "We already managed to build a strong and developing community supporting the film on social media but it is only the first step. The main goal is to have a festival run that will bring us to the international audience and attach a distributor to release the film worldwide."

"Indigo Valley" comes as Makeyev screened his recent short films "Delta Girl" and "Magic 85" at the Oscar qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival this month. His other work includes on a number of short films such as "JieJie," released on HBO and as well as many documentaries.
