As first reported on Deadline.com, MTV has cancelled its animated comedy series GOOD VIBES after only one season on the air. The series comes from creator David Gordon Green.

The network had been in discussions with producers over the last few weeks in an attempt to help the fledgling freshman series remain on the air. The show was part of a scheduling block of animated comedies including the long-running 'Beavis And Butt-Head". The two comedies premiered together against Game 6 of the World Series last October.

GOOD VIBES followed the exploits of recent New Jersey transplant Mondo and his new best friend Woodie as they live their life in Playa Del Toro, a fictional Southern California beach town. The project, which was developed at Warner Bros. TV, was originally a pilot which was offered to the Fox network in 2008. Its voice cast included Adam Brody, Alan Tudyk, Danny McBride, Debi Mazar, Jake Busey, Josh Gad and Olivia Thirlby.
