"Meet the Press with David Gregory" was the top-rated Sunday morning public affairs hour for November 25, 2012, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

“Meet the Press” attracted 2.943 million total viewers, leading This Week by +640,000, the Face the Nation hour by +693,000, and FOX News Sunday by +1,820,000.

MTP delivered an additional 1,249,000 total viewers and 497,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts -- 544,000 total viewers and 207,000 viewers A25-54 on the network, and 705,000 total viewers and 290,000 viewers A25-54 on MSNBC.

In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 98,000 total viewers (3.4/9 HH), +96% over FOX News Sunday’s 50,000 viewers (1.8/5 HH), +139% ahead of the Face The Nation hour’s 41,000 viewers (1.4/4 HH), and +250% more than This Week’s 28,000 viewers (1.0/3 HH).

Highlights:

MTP led This Week by +28% (+640,000), the Face the Nation hour by +31% (+693,000), and FOX News Sunday by +162% (+1,820,000).
In homes, MTP delivered a 2.1 rating and 6 share, ahead of This Week’s 1.7/5, the Face the Nation hour’s 1.6/4, and FOX News Sunday’s 0.8/2.
In rating A25-54, MTP delivered a 0.8 rating, +2 tenths more than This Week, +3 tenths more than the Face the Nation hour, and +5 tenths more than FOX News Sunday.
MTP averaged 983,000 A25-54 (000) viewers, +46% (+310,000) ahead of This Week, +54% (+345,000) ahead of the Face the Nation hour, and +155% (+597,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday.
Versus the same broadcast last season, MTP was up +3% (+89,000) in total viewers and posted increases in key demos: rating W/M/A18-49 (+25%/+40%/+20%) and rating W/M/A25-54 (+17%/+50%/+33%).
MTP grew versus 4Q’12/season-to-date levels in key demos: Rating M18-49 (+17%) and Rating M25-54 (+13%)

Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press featured interviews with Senate Armed Services Committee chairman Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI), House Homeland Security Committee chairman Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY), and Honeywell CEO David Cote; and a roundtable conversation with MSNBC’s Rev. Al Sharpton, National Republican Senatorial Committee vice chair Carly Fiorina, New York Times columnist David Brooks, documentary filmmaker and historian Ken Burns, and NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
