Lunkerville Adds Discovery Channel to List of Broadcast Partners

The internationally Syndicated television show South Bend's Lunkerville is ready with a brand new season of "real people with real fish stories" and a new broadcast partner in 2018. The award-winning series will air on Discovery Channel in the third quarter, from July through September. This adds to broadcast partners CBS Sports Network in the second quarter and World Fishing Network all year long.

South Bend's Lunkerville has been on television every week since 2004 and its viewership continues to broaden and grow each year. Discovery brings a very focused viewership to the series - the channel packs a lot of promotional punch and brings the show with the curious name into over 95 million homes in the US and over 431 million homes worldwide. In addition, the new season will be available on demand on the Discovery Go app, available on television with Apple TV, Roku, XBOX, Amazon Fire and on your computer and mobile devices.

"South Bend's Lunkerville is a perfect addition to our lifestyle and travel programming at Discovery," explains Aymon Demauro, Vice President of Branded Content at Discovery. "Every episode is unique, exploring the personalities and passion of people who don't make their living from fishing but who absolutely live to fish. And viewers, along with Mike D, learn from them too! The show's retro tone and feel-good style is Americana at its best!"

About South Bend's Lunkerville

When Indie film director Michael de Avila hooked his passion for story telling onto his love of fishing, he spawned an award-winning reality television show, "Lunkerville." For over 14 years, host "Mike D" has been casting his line at everyday, recreational anglers, traveling to their secret spots, sharing their special techniques and making them the expert stars of the day. In his signature laid-back manner, he reels in the camaraderie, the fun and the fish. There's never a dull moment on South Bend's Lunkerville: the show that features real people and real fish stories. South Bend's Lunkerville is a production of Rockville Pictures Inc.
