Kimberly Williams-Paisley is set to become a series regular on ABC's breakway country-musical hit NASHVILLE, Deadline reported this evening.

Williams-Paisley, who had previously signed on for just a multiple-episode arc, plays Peggy Samper, an old girl friend of Rayna's (Connie Britton) husband, Teddy Conrad (ERIC CLOSE.) She has appeared in six of the 13 episodes that have aired thus far on ABC, and will now appear in the final three. The show was given a full-season pickup by the network, and should it be renewed for season 2, Williams-Paisley will become a full-time member of the cast.

"Nashville" stars Connie Britton ("Friday Night Lights," "American Horror Story") as Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes") as Juliette Barnes, Charles Esten ("Enlightened," "Big Love") as Deacon Claybourne, ERIC CLOSE ("Chaos," "Without a Trace") as Teddy Conrad, CLARE BOWEN as Scarlett O'Connor, Jonathan Jackson ("General Hospital") as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Robert Ray Wisdom ("The Wire," "Rampart") as Coleman Carlisle and Powers Boothe ("MacGruber," "24") as Lamar Wyatt.
