Johnny Flynn Will Play David Bowie in STARDUST

Variety reports that Johnny Flynn ("Beast") will play a young David Bowie in new film "Stardust."

Flynn recently played opposite Kit Harrington ("Game of Thrones") in Sam Shepherd's "True West" on the West End.

Jena Malone ("Vice") will play Bowie's then-wife Angie. Marc MARON ("Glow") will play his publicist.

Christopher Bell ("The Last Czars") will pen the script and Gabriel Range ("I Am Slave") will direct.

The producers of "Stardust" said that the film will chart Bowie's trans-Atlantic trip, which "inspired the invention of his iconic alter ego Ziggy Stardust."

The rock star will also be the subject of a new feature-documentary from Francis Whatley that will air in the BBC.
