For the past two years, Rick and Marty Lagina's Oak Island treasure hunt has largely taken place above ground. Now, after two years of planning, the Laginas are taking their quest to get to the bottom of the mystery to the next level when HISTORY's hit series, "The Curse of Oak Island," returns for a third season on Tuesday, November 10 at 9PM ET/PT. Additionally, a one-hour studio talk show, "The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down," will air immediately before the premiere at 8PM ET/PT with five subsequent episodes beginning on Tuesday, January 5 at 10PM ET/PT.

Located in the North Atlantic, Oak Island is believed by many to be hiding one of the greatest treasures in history. Since the late 1700's, fortunes have been spent and lives have been lost, but no one has ever been able to crack the code to get at the prize. A prophecy says that seven people will die before the treasure is found. So far, six have perished in accidents across the years.

After coming closer than anyone before them, the brothers may finally uncover the incredible truth that lies beneath Oak Island. Following up on their recent finds, Rick, Marty and their partners use today's most advanced technology as well as heavy digging and drilling equipment to go deep inside the island. The Lagina brothers will be digging deep, launching a three-prong engineering assault on their top three findings from season two: the Money Pit, 10-X, and the Swamp. They also will welcome new researchers and explore intriguing theories as to what exactly is buried on Oak Island and where X marks the spot.

As a companion to season three, the studio talk show, "The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down," will serve as a crash course for new viewers and include a variety of special guests, interviews and in-depth, thought-provoking discussion of the series.

"The Curse of Oak Island" is produced for HISTORY by Prometheus Entertainment. Kevin Burns serves as executive producer for Prometheus. Matt Ginsburg and Mike Stiller are executive producers for HISTORY.
