The Final Five visit 'Jimmy Fallon'

Last night, the U.S. gold medal-winning Women's Gymnastics team, who dubbed themselves 'The Final Five,' hit the room where it happens, Broadway's Hamilton!

Madison Kocian, Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas took in the Tony-Award winning show, then stopped backstage to congratulate new cast member Brandon Victor Dixon, who recently took over the role of Aaron Burr. The world class athletes had to put their muscles to the test, sprinting across midtown Manhattan after taping NBC's TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON (watch the appearance HERE) to make it to the Richard Rodgers Theatre in time to see the curtain go up on the hottest ticket in town.

According to USA Today, Dixon, a huge fan of the gymnastics competition in Rio, revealed: "Gymnastics is my favorite Olympic sport, hands-down. Since the days of Kim Zmeskal, I've been about the U.S. gymnastics team. So, I love these ladies. I'm so proud of them. I worship them. I think they're amazing and I got so hyped when I heard they were in the audience tonight."

Added Hamilton star Okieriete Onaodowan, who plays both Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, "They're just like tiny versions of us. It's amazing but it's also remarkable what they're doing, just to be able to perform and not choke under that pressure. At a young age, to be able to perform that way and keep your cool? I'm totally impressed."

According to USA GYMNASTICS senior vice president Rhonda Faehn, Simon Biles' coach Aimee Boorman played the Hamilton cast recording for the team in order to psych them up for the competition.

Following the whirlwind day, team member Laurie Hernandez turned to Twitter to share the experience, posting:
