HBO just revealed a GAME OF THRONES' Season 5 premiere date of Sunday, April 12, 2015 via Twitter, writing, "Send a raven and spread the word."

ased on the popular book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," by George R.R. Martin, this hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom.

HBO is set to air a GAME OF THRONES special entitled "A Day in the Life" on February 8 at 7.30pm. It is speculated that the special will serve as a preview to the highly anticipated fifth season of the popular drama series.

As BWW recently reported, GAME OF THRONES was the most illegally-downloaded TV show of the year, for the third consecutive year, with the Season Four finale setting a new piracy record, with 1.5 million downloads recorded within 12 hours of the episode being aired.

Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, GAME OF THRONES is an epic drama set in the world of Westeros, where ambitious men and women of both honor and ill-repute live in a land whose summers and winters can last years. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning fantasy series concluded its ten-episode fourth season in June, with the fifth season scheduled to launch in 2015.

Cast regulars for the fourth season of GAME OF THRONES included: Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Charles Dance, Aidan Gillen, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Alfie Allen, Jerome Flynn, Conleth Hill, John Bradley, Gwendoline Christie, Liam Cunningham, Stephen Dillane, Natalie Dormer, Iain Glen, Kristofer Hivju, Sibel Kekilli, Rose Leslie, Rory McCann, Michael McElhatton, Iwan Rheon and Carice van Houten.
