Garden of Laughs Comedy Benefit Once Again Raises Over $2 Million

The Garden of Dreams Foundation announced today that the 2019 Garden of Laughs event, presented by Delta Air Lines, once again raised more than $2 million for the Foundation to aid its efforts to make dreams come true for tri-state area children in need. Since its inception in 2013, the biennial Garden of Laughs comedy benefit has raised $7 million in total for the charity. In addition to a sold-out evening of comedy at Garden of Laughs, the Foundation also launched an exclusive online auction through Charitybuzz, where you can continue to support the Garden of Dreams Foundation by bidding on unforgettable packages and experiences, including meet-and-greets and tickets to sporting and entertainment events. The auctions are running now through April 11, 2019, with certain packages closing on April 9.

Garden of Laughs, which took place on Tuesday, April 2 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, featured performances by Jerry Seinfeld along with Bill Burr, Michael Che, John Mulaney, Brian Regan, Iliza Shlesinger and Jon Stewart. The event was hosted by Steve Schirripa and included a collection of esteemed entertainers and sports icons serving as celebrity presenters including Victor Cruz, Adam Graves, Lucas Hedges, Gaten Matarazzo, John McEnroe, Debra Messing, Toby Leonard Moore, Tracy Morgan, John Oliver, Chris Redd, Marc Roberge of O.A.R., Ben Stiller, Cecily Strong, Justin Tuck and Michael K. Williams.

As part of the event, actor Steve Schirripa was presented with the Garden of Dreams Hero Award. Schirripa was honored for his enthusiastic support of the Foundation, which includes serving as an Advisory Board member; hosting the biennial Garden of Laughs event in 2015, 2017 and 2019; and supporting the annual Garden of Dreams talent show.
