Four New Documentary Commissions Announced for BBC One and Two

Clare Sillery, BBC Head of Commissioning, Documentaries has announced four new titles, due on air over the coming months, which display the breadth and depth of documentaries across BBC One and BBC Two.

In The Real Marigold Hotel On Tour celebrities from the hit BBC One series return and, in groups, travel the globe, journeying to Russia, Mexico, Vietnam and Argentina. Also on BBC One, filmmaker acclaimed Jane Treays (Inside Claridge's) is back with more fascinating behind-the-scenes access, this time at the Corinthia Hotel, London, in A Very Modern Grand Hotel (w/t).

On BBC Two's The Case Of Sally Challen (w/t), filmmaker Rowan Deacon follows the appeal of Sally Challen's conviction of murder for THE KILLING of her husband in 2011. And in an exciting new concept for BBC Two, The Brigade w/t, follows distinguished Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton as he guides ten ambitious chefs on a journey across Europe to transform their careers, turning them into a Kitchen Brigade to take on the best in the world.

Clare Sillery, says: "The Documentaries team is dedicated to bringing audiences rich, entertaining and thought-provoking programmes. As these commissions show, we have a real breadth of content over the coming months - from showcasing the tough world of restaurants led by a Michelin-starred chef to using celebrity experience to explore the globe, and two fascinating new access-led films from acclaimed filmmakers Jane Treays and Rowan Deacon."
