Filmmaker Rebecca Miller Shares Scoop on Documentary She Created About Her Father ARTHUR MILLER: WRITER

Rebecca Miller, daughter of famed writer Arthur Miller, sat down with Deadline and chatted about her new documentary, of which her father is the subject of. Read the full discussion here!

As a filmmaker and writer herself, Rebecca directed the new film, which is being released in LA and NYC on December 8. It is also set to air on HBO this March. The film centers on interviews Rebecca conducted with her father over 20 years ago. When asked why now, Miller says after her fathers passing in 2005, she needed not only the emotional distance but the creative freedom that time to heal has given her.

Arthur Miller rose to fame as a writer with his name attached to classic pieces such as DEATH OF A SALESMAN, THE CRUCIBLE, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, to name a few. This new films gives insights to his creative process and his personal life as well. Specifically, the film gives attention to Miller's marriage to Marilyn Monroe.
